Case Study

BACKGROUND

TytoCare is a leading player in the tele-health space. It offers remote testing and consultation services using its innovative hardware and software solutions.

As the company expands into new clinical fields, like specific chronic conditions, it faces a new kind of challenge - continuous patients’ engagement. It means that beyond creating features that solve a real user need, solutions have to align well with users’ daily routine, mindsets etc.

As the product team was creating the first version of those new features, it wished to conduct some preliminary user research. The research was aimed at mapping how patients currently manage their condition, what their attitudes are towards their illness, and what their unmet needs are.

NEED

In order to conduct this research effectively, efficiently, and with limited bias, the product team reached out to Context for some methodological support - in planning the interviews, executing them, and analysing their findings.

METHODOLOGY

Context provided ongoing methodological support throughout the intense couple of weeks of this user research. It provided answers and solutions to issues like prioritizing interview goals, setting up an effective interview structure, avoiding bias when posing questions, taking valuable interview notes and much more.

DELIVERABLE

The project did not include a deliverable, but did include reviewing the client’s research outputs.

OUTCOMES

The research enabled the product team to significantly improve their understanding of their users. Most of all, the nature of the unmet need became clearer, thus allowing the product team to focus on building the features that provided the most value to patients. Additionally, the product team gained an important understanding of the nuances of conducting user research, and how to set up conversations to extract the maximum amount of value from each of them.
